Co-operative Bank of Kenya has intensified engagement with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Western region, seeking to understand their business needs and strengthen support for their growth.

The bank’s team has been meeting customers across the region this week, listening to entrepreneurs’ experiences, discussing their challenges and exploring how banking solutions can help them expand their businesses.

The engagements continued in Kisumu, where the team held discussions with local business owners on their goals, financial needs and opportunities for growth.

Co-operative Bank said understanding the unique circumstances of each business is essential to providing relevant financial solutions and building lasting customer relationships.

“Every business has a story, a goal and its own challenges. The right financial partner takes time to understand all three,” the bank said, highlighting the importance of working closely with entrepreneurs as they navigate changing markets and pursue new opportunities.

MSMEs remain an important part of Kenya’s economy, supporting employment, innovation and livelihoods across different sectors.

Through continued customer engagement, Co-operative Bank aims to strengthen its partnerships with entrepreneurs and help them access the support they need to build resilient businesses, create jobs and contribute to economic growth.

The initiative reflects the importance of a banking relationship that goes beyond transactions to understanding customers’ ambitions and supporting their long-term business goals.
