Co-operative Bank of Kenya’s CEO and Managing Director Gideon Muriuki and Trans Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya agreed to transform the county into a financial hub.
In a statement on Monday, June 19, Natembeya said he was committed to utilizing Trans Nzoia County’s abundant resources for the benefit of the residents.
“Collaborating with the Cooperative Bank CEO Mr. Gideon Muriuki, we aim to transform Trans Nzoia County into a financial services hub. Our goal is to attract businesses and foster economic growth, enhancing opportunities for our people,” Natembeya said.
He added: “Promote economic growth and prosperity. By harnessing our unique potential and resources, we’re paving the way for agro-industrial development and a stronger financial sector. Together, we’ll uplift livelihoods and drive sustainable progress.”
Natembeya further said Trans Nzoia’s fertile soil holds immense potential for improving living standards.
“Together with stakeholders, we’re determined to drive positive change through responsible utilization,” he stated.
