Marketing firm QNET has donated foodstuffs to hundreds of vulnerable families in Kenya.
This is part of the company’s ongoing global Ramadhan campaign.
The company has partnered with the Red Cross to distribute the food packages through its Independent Representatives (IRs) in Kenya, as an expression of goodwill and care to less privileged families, most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The charitable gesture is part of the company’s annual global Ramadhan corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaign aimed at improving the lives of poor families.
Last year, the company donated foodstuffs including groceries to the Tree House Children’s Home in Ruaraka, Nairobi.
This year, QNET, which has a presence in several sub-Saharan African countries, made similar donations in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali, Cameroon, Senegal and Tanzania. The company’s CSR activities are guided by the philosophy – Raise Yourself to Help Mankind (RYTHM).
“Through our independent representatives in Kenya, it was a humbling experience to become the bastion of hope and bring smiles to many families, especially during these difficult times when many people’s livelihoods have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Biram Fall, QNET Regional General Manager for sub-Saharan Africa.
