Co-operative Bank of Kenya is supporting efforts to transform the country’s agricultural sector through its sponsorship of the Agriculture and Food Systems Transformation Summit 2026, held from October 7 to 9 at the Jamhuri Show Ground in Nairobi.
The bank participated as the main sponsor at Platinum Level, bringing together stakeholders from across the agricultural value chain to explore solutions for building a stronger and more resilient food system.
The summit brought together industry leaders, policymakers, development partners and farmers to discuss strategies for advancing agricultural productivity, strengthening food systems and improving livelihoods.
Co-operative Bank used the platform to showcase its agribusiness financial solutions designed to support farmers and other players in the agricultural value chain.
Through its Agribusiness team, the bank engaged participants on financial services that can help unlock opportunities in agriculture, support enterprise growth and improve access to financing.
The sponsorship underscores the role of financial institutions in supporting agricultural transformation by providing financial solutions that enable farmers and agribusiness enterprises to grow and adapt to changing market demands.
Agriculture remains a key pillar of Kenya’s economy, supporting livelihoods and contributing to food security. Partnerships between financial institutions, farmers, government and development partners are crucial to addressing challenges facing the sector and unlocking its potential for sustainable growth.
Co-operative Bank said collaboration among stakeholders is essential to shaping a more resilient agricultural sector and transforming livelihoods across the country.
