Co-operative Bank of Kenya has officially opened its latest Executive Plus Lounge at Westlands Square, marking a significant step in the bank’s mission to enhance service offerings aimed at executive and high-net-worth clientele.

The facility is housed within the new Executive Banking Branch in Westlands, situated at the vibrant Westlands Shopping Center.

Tailored specifically for Executive Plus and Captain’s Club members, the new lounge offers an elevated banking experience.

Guests can expect personalised banking services, wealth-planning support, access to strategic advisory, and a fully equipped boardroom for business meetings—all designed to meet the needs of discerning corporate and individual clients.

Lena Yego, Co-op Bank Head of Retail Banking, highlighted that the lounge represents the bank’s evolution beyond traditional high-end banking.

“We’ve listened to customer feedback and transformed our offering into something much deeper—more than just banking,” she remarked at the Executive Banking Captains Club forum.

Membership in the Executive Banking Plus programme—and automatic inclusion in the Captain’s Club—comes with a suite of upscale benefits:

  • A dedicated Executive Relationship Manager and premium customer care teams

  • Wealth and investment advisory services, including research reports and discretionary portfolio managemen.

  • Preferential rates on deposits, foreign exchange, insurance, and brokerage services

  • Visa Platinum cards with global airport lounge access and travel perks

  • Unsecured personal loan offers up to KES 10 million and tailored MSME loan access

The Westlands Executive Lounge is part of Co-op Bank’s broader expansion strategy. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the bank opened 15 new branches, including outlets in Eldoret Airport Road and Dagoretti Market, bringing its total to 212 branches across Kenya.

Meanwhile, the bank posted a net profit of KES 6.9 billion in Q1 2025 — up 5.3% from the previous year — fueled by income growth and deeper penetration into the middle and upper-market segments.
