LG Electronics (LG) East Africa has today launched its new range of Built-in Kitchen solutions in Kenya, which include modern appliances such as hobs, hoods, ovens, and microwaves, all designed to meet the evolving needs of Kenyan households

The LG Built-in Kitchen launch comes at a time when Kenya’s home appliance market is experiencing significant growth. According to recent research, a growing number of households are investing in modern and durable kitchen solutions[i]. In addition, there is a notable shift toward smart home technologies, as consumers seek appliances that offer both advanced features and enhanced convenience[ii]. This trend has created a strong demand for high-quality kitchen appliances that cater to the modern home. LG’s new product line aims to meet this demand by providing consumers with kitchen solutions that blend style, efficiency, and smart technology.

Speaking at the launch LG Electronics East Africa President, Donghun Lee, said, “Kenya has become one of the leading markets in East Africa for smart home technology adoption, and we are proud to introduce our state-of-the-art Built-in Kitchen solutions to this vibrant and growing market.”

The adoption of smart household appliances in Kenya is expected to see rapid growth over the next five years, with projections indicating that penetration rates will increase from 2.8 percent in 2025 to 5.8 percent by 2029[iii]. This surge in adoption reflects the growing interest in appliances that offer ease of use, connectivity, and energy-saving capabilities.

Erick Onyango, LG Electronics East Africa Cooking Assistant Product Manager, further emphasized the importance of smart connectivity in modern kitchens.

“Our new Built-in Kitchen solutions offer style, functionality and energy efficiency. These appliances offer seamless integration with LG’s smart technologies through the LG ThinQ Ecosystem, allowing users to control and monitor their kitchen appliances remotely,” he said.

Kenyan consumers are increasingly prioritizing modern, high-quality kitchen appliances that blend convenience, style, and sustainability. With energy efficiency being a major purchasing factor, LG’s built-in appliances meet this demand through energy-saving solutions that reduce household bills and contribute to a greener environment.

The launch of the Built-in Kitchen category further aligns with the growing trend of kitchen renovations and upgrades in Kenya, with many consumers choosing to invest in stylish, durable, and functional kitchen solutions. With its products delivering both aesthetic appeal and optimal performance, LG continues to retain its leading positioning in the East African market for premium kitchen appliances.

The new range LG’s Built-in Kitchen solutions include advanced features such as powerful dual Flame in Gas Hobs, high-performance range hoods, smart Instaview ovens with automated cooking modes, and microwave ovens with enhanced efficiency and user-friendly controls. Each product is designed with the modern consumer in mind, providing sleek aesthetics, easy-to-use features, and superior energy efficiency.

In line with LG’s commitment to sustainability, the new built-in kitchen solutions are designed with eco-friendly features, such as energy-efficient cooking options and low-emission systems. This is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to reduce its environmental footprint and provide consumers with appliances that align with the global push for more sustainable living.

Meanwhile, LG expects soaring interest in its new Built-in Kitchen solutions driven by Kenya’s expanding middle class, which makes a prime market for this category of products.
