The Co-operative Bank of Kenya is sponsoring the 24th SACCA Congress taking place at the Lake Naivasha Resort from 7th to 11th October, organized by the African Confederation of Cooperatives Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA) in conjunction with the Kenyan Ministry of Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development.
Co-op Bank’s Group Managing Director & CEO, Dr. Gideon Muriuki, shared the bank’s journey of growth as the leading cooperative bank in Africa, and the incredible value it has created for cooperative societies, their members and the country at large.
SACCA Congress is Africa’s largest annual financial cooperative event bringing together all credit unions in the continent and beyond to deliberate on issues taking eminence in the cooperative sector.
Under the theme “Promoting Sustainable Socio-economic Transformation through Cooperatives,” the 24th SACCA Congress continued longstanding tradition of an annual gathering that brings together experts and industry leaders from around the world to share knowledge and experiences.
“The goal is to create a united front that taps into new opportunities and addresses emerging challenges within the sector.
“Kenya is excited to host the largest cooperative event and attract diverse and international contributors,” the organisers said.
