Co-operative Bank of Kenya has introduced women empowerment program dubbed Co-op Msamaria.

“Financial support and empowerment is essential to the growth of businesses and this is where Co-op Msamaria women’s loan comes in.

“With this unique offering you get to enjoy invaluable networking opportunity and unsecured loans of up to Ksh10 million,” Co-op Bank said.

This loan facility aims at accelerating women’s economic empowerment by providing affordable and usable finance towards their businesses.

The maximum loan amount is Ksh 10,000,000

  • Ksh 5,000 to 300,000 – 12 months
  • Ksh 300,000 to 1,000,000 – 18 months
  • Above Ksh 1 million – 36 months

Requirements

  • Have a business not less than a year old
  • Business should have regular cash flow
  • Business license of the current year where applicable
  • Open an account with Co-operative Bank
  • Provide certified bank statements from other banks if your Co-op Bank account is less than 6 months old
  • Acceptable security will include but not limited to chattels mortgage over household, business assets, land, NSE se
  • Copy of KRA PIN
