Kenya’s second most desired bank, Co-operative Bank of Kenya, has waived transaction fees for all its mobile money services to help Kenyans overcome coronavirus crisis seamlessly.

Coop bank has removed all the charges for its mobile services (MCoop Cash), asking its clients to spread the #StayAtHome message.

This means that depositing, saving and applying for a loan on MCoop is absolutely free.

On top of that, sending money to another Mcoop Cash, to a Coop account or to Mpesa number is also free.

What’s more? Withdrawing money at an agent or ATM will not be charged, same for buying airtime. To pay school fees, check balance or even get a statement, it’s free.

Do you pay KPLC & DSTV bills, tax or insurance premiums using MCoop Cash? The bank has waived the fee for paying the bills.

For customers who wish to buy goods via the mobile service, MCoop cash will not charge any amount, well, until further notice.

With the random shifts at NSE, Coop bank has scrapped the Mcoop fee for selling, buying and transfering shares.

Additionally, Coop tells clients who need a quick loan to dial *667# or just download the Mcoop Cash app.

Coop hopes to encourage Kenyans to stay at home without the hustle of paying bills or buying grocers.

The bank has asked its clients to make use of the waivers and avoid exposure, otherwise while visiting its branches.
