Co-operative Bank of Kenya has stepped up engagement with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Western region, seeking to strengthen business relationships and explore opportunities for growth.
Led by the bank’s Regional Head, Paul Chianda, the team spent the week meeting entrepreneurs across the region, including Migori and Kisii, to exchange ideas, share business insights and discuss opportunities for enterprise development.
The engagements provided a platform for local business owners to share their experiences, highlight challenges and explore ways to expand their enterprises with support from the bank.
Co-operative Bank said it was encouraged by the resilience, energy and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by the businesses it engaged during the visits.
The bank reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside MSMEs as they pursue innovation, create employment opportunities and contribute to regional economic development.
MSMEs play a significant role in Kenya’s economy through job creation, income generation and the provision of goods and services. Access to appropriate financial solutions, business knowledge and supportive partnerships can help these enterprises strengthen their operations and pursue sustainable growth.
The bank’s engagements underscore the importance of maintaining close relationships with entrepreneurs and understanding their needs as they navigate an evolving business environment.
