DP Gachagua mourns death of Nyandarua Senator’s father

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Tuesday mourned the death of Nyandarua Senator John Methu’s father

“I have learnt with deep sadness, the passing on of Michael Maigo Waweru, the father of Nyandarua Senator John Methu,” reads the DP’s statement.

Gachagua eulogised Mzee Waweru as an industrious, focused, and hard-working parent.

The DP added that in him, Kenya has an articulate, vibrant and visionary leader in Senator Methu (son).

He passed his condolences to the Sentaor’s family and the people of Nyandarua County.

” I share my deepest condolences to Senator Methu, his family and the People of Nyandarua County. May the Lord grace you with Mercy and Strength at this lowest moment,” Gachagua added.

Senator Methu broke the news on Monday afternoon.

“Death is painful and cruel. The pain of losing a parent is immeasurable. My dad rested this morning,” he said.

The news attracted messages of condolences from Kenyans, including Mukurwe-ini MP John Kaguchia who wished him peace.

“Pole sana bro for this immeasurable loss that has befallen you and your family. May u (you) be comforted and have peace knowing dad is in a better place,” he wrote.
