Parents urged to use CoopPay for student’s cashless pocket money

CoopPay is a pre-paid visa card issued by the Co-operative Bank of Kenya targeting students.

How to apply for CoopPay card

To get the coopPay card, parents are required to visit the nearest co-operative bank branch and apply for their children.  No co-op bank account is required to apply for the card.

How it works

Parents can load pocket money to their child’s CoopPay card and track their spending.

“Get your child a CoopPay Card this mid-term. Forget the hassle of sending pocket money through third parties and connect directly with your child.
“Load money instantly, receive payment notifications, and ensure they have an easy cashless experience at school,” Co-op Bank said in a statement this week.
