How parents can easily pay school fees through Co-op Bank

As schools reopen this week after a nine-month holiday brought about by the outbreak of Covid1-9, Co-operative Bank of Kenya has made easy for parents to pay school fees without visiting banking halls.

Co-op Bank allows parents to pay school with anywhere and anytime. This has been made possible through M-Pesa Paybill 400222, or through the use of MCo-op Cash or simply by visiting any Co-op Kwa Jirani Agent near you. One can also pay school fees by just dialing *667#.

This is how to pay through MCo-op Cash

  • Log into MCo-op cash
  • Select Other Payments
  • Select School Fees
  • Enter the School code/business number
  • Enter the account to pay from
  • Enter student number
  • Confirm transaction
  • Receive SMS confirming that the transaction was successful

To pay using M-Pesa, follow the following steps:

  • Go to Lipan an M-Pesa (PayBill)
  • Enter business code 400222
  • Enter the Account Number as school code followed by # followed by the student number, e.g. 1059#123456789
  • Enter amount
  • Enter M-Pesa Pin
  • Confirm transaction
  • Receive SMS confirming that the transaction was successful

You can as well deposit school fees at Co-op Kwa Jirani Agent near you for free! Here, you will be able to get a receipt showing the Student’s Name, ID Number and the total amount that has been paid.

Parents can as well make payments for back to school shopping with their Co-op Visa Debit or Credit Cards at no extra cost.

With all the channels listed above, Co-op Bank has made going back to school more convenient than ever before, choose one that suits you and make it happen.
